Choose the island before comparing points
Maui, Oahu, Kauai and the island of Hawaii are different destinations. A resort on one island does not put you near attractions on another. Start with the place you want to spend most of your time, your travel dates and how you plan to get around.
If you want flexibility across islands, ask which resorts the exact resale interest can access, when reservations open and whether additional exchange arrangements are required. A network name alone does not establish booking availability.
Match the ownership to a realistic trip
Compare unit size, permitted occupancy, season and annual or biennial use. For points, confirm the available balance and whether your planned dates and accommodation fit the applicable reservation rules. Keep the purchase cost separate from recurring charges and the cost of traveling to Hawaii.
A listing showing a low asking price may still carry substantial continuing obligations. Ask for the latest ownership statement and an itemized closing and transfer quote; a resort-wide historical fee table is not a quote for a particular resale.
